Fashion Tip #7 Mix and Match

The first time I ever saw someone put a flower skirt with a leopard shirt, I thought it was the strangest thing! But I seriously can NOT get enough of it now! Mixing and matching patterns is fun and creative! I love that it is in right now and anything goes!! It is fun to see what patterns I can put together each day.

Two of my favorite designs to mix for girls is animal print with stripes! Today Laila is wearing a stripe shirt from Target, a Jean star collared shirt from H&M and threw on a leopard scarf to complete the mixing! She was extremely serious while trying to take this picture...it probably didn't help that it is FREEZING outside all of the sudden!

I love that this Fashion Tip goes for boys too!! Some of the cutest little guys I have seen wear striped pants with a polk-dot bow tie!

Get creative and have fun with your mixing and matching!

FASHION TIP #6 - Aztec Style

It is always so funny to me when people say, "oh that is cute on you... but it wouldn't be cute on me!" I am here to tell you today that YOU can look cute in ANYTHING! Wear it with confidence and you can totally pull it off! Everyone has their own styles, but it is never too late to add another style to your wardrobe!

I love the Aztec look for this Fall! I love how you can find EVERYTHING Aztec. Pants, skirts, shirts, purses, and headbands. I love the fun print and design. I love the colors and shapes.

This cute aztec skirt Laila is sporting is from H&M. I love that I was able to pair it with some off-white leggings I found at Kid to Kid for $1.99 and brown boots from Journeys Kidz. Her sweater and shirt are from Target.

If you or your baby don't have anything aztec this season, you should give it a try! Your baby will look so fashionable and trendy! I love that it is popular for girls AND boys! I have seen some darling aztec leggings and moccosins for baby boys. Don't say that it wouldn't be cute on you or your baby... just do it! I promise you will love it!

FASHION TIP #5 - Every Girl Needs Some FUR

No matter how old or young you are, this Fall you need some FUR! I love all of the cute fur vests that are everywhere! It was so hard to find one Laila's size, but I finally found this white one at H&M.

Fur vests can complete any outfit and can be dressed up or down. I love that she can wear this shopping or to church! Its good for all places! Perfect for the cool weather wherever you live and is fashionable, yet soft and comfortable.

Fashion Tip #4 – Feel Inspired by YOUR OWN closet

Open your closet and take a peak at what you like to wear! (If you have a boy, take a peak at what you like to see your husband or boyfriend wear!) What are your favorite articles of clothing that you LOVE on you? If you love them on you, you will probably love them on your baby! I have always bought clothes for Laila that I would want to wear myself. I normally don’t buy something if I couldn’t see myself wearing it.

I could not figure out a cute outfit for Laila the other day so I hopped on over to my closet. I found these cheetah print pants, paired it with a jeans top and white undershirt, threw on some jewelry and it worked. Then I remembered Laila had everything I was wearing, I just had never paired them all together! So I went into Laila’s closet and found these cheetah print pants, paired it with a jeans top and white undershirt, threw on a headband and it worked!

Don’t get discouraged if you can’t find anything cute for your baby to wear. Just think of what YOU would want to wear and re-create it!

Fashion Tip #3 - Comfy is CUTE

FASHION TIP #3 - COMFY IS CUTE

Who loves to stay in their pajamas all day? Who loves to wear sweats and a t-shirt? I know I do! Feeling comfortable in the outfit you wear for the day completely changes your mood... and it is the same with our babies!

As the weather is changing and it is getting cold outside, sometimes I just want to stay inside with a sweatshirt and slippers on! I am LOVING that oversized sweaters and leggings are in style right now. They are SO comfortable and I wear these kinds of outfits almost daily lately!

COMFY can be really CUTE! Today Laila is wearing an oversized sweatshirt, leggings, leg warmers, boots and a turban on her head. She is comfortable, warm and still able to look cute and stylish!

Comfortable baby means happy baby which means happy mom!

Fashion Tip #2 Its ALL about the ACCESSORIES

FASHION TIP #2 - ITS ALL ABOUT THE ACCESSORIES

I love accessories! You can put your baby in simple leggings and a onesie, but once you add a few accessories, you have the CUTEST outfit!

For girls you can find amazing headbands, dainty scarves, cute necklaces, pretty bracelets, perfect boots, cute vests, fashionable leg warmers, fun hats and small belts! For boys you can find little bow ties, darling suspenders, tiny moccasins, snazzy beanies and stylish blazers.

It is getting cold outside so now is the time to have fun with the accessories! Bring out the scarves, boots and ear warmers and you got a cute and stylish outfit!

FASHION TIP #1

The first and most important tip I have for dressing your baby is to have FUN! I think sometimes we think they are "babies" so they need to wear a onesie, some socks and we are good to go. Something that I have ALWAYS loved to do is dress Laila and shop for her! It is so fun now that she is getting older, she actually interacts with me at the store. I also love that she is still little enough that she doesn't have an opinion on what she wants to wear, so I get to have her dress however I want every day!

I love this hot pink jeans jacket from GUESS http://guesskids.guess.com/en/# and these cute leggings from Wal Mart! Can you believe it?! I know... Wal Mart. But they were only $4 and I had to pick up some groceries. Couldn't resist the $4 leggings that just so happen to be on the isle I had to walk by to get to the food! I think the bright colors are fun and the bigger the bow the better! This bow is Jen's Bowdacious Bows http://www.etsy.com/shop/JensBowdaciousBows ... She is by far my favorite place to buy bows from. They are beautiful, classy, unique and actually stay together!
